Requires the establishment of a paid family and medical leave insurance program by 1/1/2027; provides family and medical leave benefits covering 80% of an individual’s average weekly wages for up to 12 weeks per year for the birth, adoption, or placement of foster care of a child, caring for family member with a serious health condition, an individual’s serious health condition, and other circumstances; requires contributions by employers; provides protections and remedies; prohibits retaliation; companion to SB 1122.
